Founding Mobile Engineer Android

Summary

We are looking for an experienced Android developer that has built applications at scale from the ground up that wants to join a dynamic and innovative team as the founding Android Engineer.

Role

• Convert specs, requirements and designs into elegant and stable production builds
• Design and implementation of use cases that provide frameworks, interfaces, and services that have evergreen use
• Work with product and engineering teams to deliver features and builds on time and to quality
• Advocate and adhere to best standards with respect to technical processes, standards, and best practices
• Work on a mobile version of the Fast checkout experience
• Hands on senior IC role with immediate lead role and scope in a rapidly scaling org
• Serve as hiring manager for a growing new vertical at the company
• Participate cross functionally at a tech leadership level across the company with product management and product design
• Help recruit, scale and develop a team of mobile developers

Requirements

• B.S. or equivalent degree in CS
• 5+ years of Android mobile development experience
• Extensive experience building apps for Android in Java/ Kotlin

• Experience with e-commerce related apps at scale
• Experience managing developers
