Codecademy is looking for a knowledgeable computational linguist, NLP engineer, or instructor to help write our newest skill path, Natural Language Processing, which we'll teach using Python 3. The Catalog Content Contributor works directly with the Codecademy Curriculum team to author interactive lessons, quizzes, and projects to help turn a high-level syllabus into reality. This is a paid, remote, part-time position.

What You'll Do

  • Design and author interactive lessons, quizzes, and projects.
  • Think pedagogically to break down technical concepts into digestible exercises
  • Collaborate with Codecademy's Curriculum team to craft learning outcomes and build a compelling learner experience.

What You'll Need

  • Fluency with and experience with natural language processing techniques such as language modeling, text processing, feature engineering, and deep learning for NLP
  • Experience implementing NLP techniques in Python
  • Experience as an educator, either in formal or informal settings
  • A strong command of written and spoken English
  • Experience with version control tools such as Git and GitHub
  • What Will Make You Stand Out
  • Professional experience teaching or writing documentation for natural language processing or Python programming
  • Experience with NLTK, spaCy, gensim, Keras/TensorFlow, and/or scikit-learn
  • Experience using the Codecademy platform
  • Experience writing educational content that reaches a wide audience in a digital format

This is a part-time, remote position. You can expect anywhere from ~10-30 hours of work per week, with the freedom to work wherever and at whatever times you want. You will be compensated (paid) bi-weekly.
