3D Asset Pipeline Engineer

Geomagical Labs is a 3D AI developer. We are crafting 3D experiences for millions of users around the world, in partnership with IKEA. Our pioneering apps allow customers to scan photorealistic models of their spaces, then reimagine their spaces in like-like 3D, from anywhere, changing home commerce along the way.

We have an opening for a 3D Pipeline Engineer to join our team and engineer automated 3D processing asset pipelines, for ray tracing, composition, conditioning, texture & geometry LOD optimization, semantic labelling, and distribution. This could be a dream job for a highly-motivated software engineer, with graphics workflow experience, strong systems programming skills, and a passion for 3D & mixed reality.

This position requires excellent software development skills (Python & C++), 3D graphics foundations, and some hands-on experience with 3D modeling and ray-traced rendering.

Role

In this role, you will:

1. Partner with graphics, AI, app & platform engineering teams to deliver 3D capabilities.
2. Develop Python tools & data pipelines to automate asset production at high scale.
3. Develop interactive tools & pipelines to setup/store/search/serve millions of assets.
4. Develop high scale 3D material baking & conditioning pipelines for 500,000+ LODs.
5. Create fast CGI render pipelines, producing high-volume data to train AI neural nets.
6. Automate Blender, Cycles, 3ds Max, V-Ray tools & data pipelines to produce photo-realistic imagery at high scale.
7. Enhance 3D realism through emerging PBR material standards & lighting innovations.
