The National VP of Payer Growth reports to and supports the VP, Head of Payer Growth on efficiently operationalizing the commercial agreements with Health Plans, and maximizing revenue opportunities within a Health Plan. In this role, you will contribute directly alongside members of the sales, marketing, business development, executive, client strategy and client success teams as well as interact directly with senior leaders at our Health Plan Partners with the ultimate goal of driving meaningful growth and building enduring Health Plan partnerships.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop, implement and drive strategy for health plans to support and deliver Maven's growth through assigned Health Plan book of business.
  • Establishes/identifies Health Plans priorities to develop business strategies along with a strategic plan
  • Collaborate with supporting teams focused on Health Plans to set priorities and deliver key initiatives
  • Provides direction to day to day guidance for strategic commercial Health Plans
  • Develops operating calendar, detailed Health Plans plan/forecast and account planning/mapping process for review with the sales team and executive leadership
  • Develops programs and promotions to drive volume through the channel and deliver on our growth goals
  • Works closely with marketing to develop sales tools and collateral specific for our commercial Health Plans
  • Serves as the operational point of contact for Legal/Supply Chain/Logistics/Care and other internal support
  • Looks for opportunities to work with product and technology teams to leverage commercial Health Plans to expand and enhance our product offering & capabilities and serves as the liaison between teams.
  • Aggregates all reporting and makes recommendations based on fact-based analysis
  • Serves as liaison between Maven's field sales force and commercial Health Plans
  • Synthesizes and provides competitive intel received through our commercial Health Plans
  • Anticipates client needs, investigates the underlying causes and identifies short and long-term solutions
  • Anticipates internal/external business issues and developments in own discipline; uses knowledge to focus work and drive improvements
  • Demonstrates a broad comprehension of the customer's needs, market trends, industry challenges, major players (payers and providers), relevant products and technologies

Minimum Requirements:

  • B.S./B.A. degree and 10+ years relevant work experience
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in sales, strategic consulting, marketing, and/or channel management
  • Demonstrated success and experience working with large employers, health systems, health plans, healthcare IT companies, PBMs, & benefits consultants.
  • Direct experience working within and/or selling to health plans and PBMs
  • Works independently & takes initiative
  • Excellent interpersonal, writing and presentation skills, in small and large group settings, both in-person and via web conference or conference call
  • Strong project and account management skills
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with highly talented sales professionals
  • Ability to energize, develop and build rapport at all levels within an organization
  • Driven performer with the passion and initiative to exceed individual goals while operating within a collaborative team environment
  • MBA is preferred
