Intro:

Channels & Services is looking for an engaging Team Lead to lead the global Sales Development team. This team is composed of Sales Development Representatives and is looking for a lead to ensure they have the tools to generate and qualify high-value business for the new Enterprise program while providing an exceptional Squarespace experience. You will oversee the team's daily responsibilities, including phone, video, live chat, and email communication, and ensure that your team is exceeding performance targets. The Sales Development team is responsible for identifying and creating new qualified sales opportunities for Sales Representatives and Account Executives. SDRs develop relationships with prospects, acting as the initial point of contact, while making a business impact through lead generation. As a Sales Development Team Lead, you will communicate with the Senior Leadership team to understand and help influence the broader department strategy. You will also collaborate with your peers and partners on local or department-wide projects to increase efficiencies for prospects and the business.

You will be based in our NYC or PDX office, or remotely in one of our approved locations, and report to the Senior Enterprise Sales Manager.

You'll Get To

  • Create a positive team culture and manage your team's adherence to company policies, performance expectations, and metrics
  • Write and provide team member feedback during annual review cycles and deliver updates to compensation
  • Coach SDRs through shadowing, role plays, process improvement, and performance reporting in recurring 1:1's
  • Drive achievement of revenue targets through development of prospecting strategies and leveraging of sales KPIs.
  • Partner with the Learning & Development team to build and coordinate training programs
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, and people ops to ensure SDR onboarding program and ongoing training is up-to-date on our current product offering
  • Help interview, hire, and onboard new SDRs
  • Support team members during and/or directly provide demos to perspective Select and Enterprise leads
  • Help develop processes to increase the efficiency of our lead-gen initiatives in order to grow our top of sales funnel through warm and cold outbound campaigns
  • Ensure sales accepted opportunities are sourced in accordance with company targets, and that our sales organization has enough opportunities to work with to be fully productive
  • Help improve our offerings through providing a feedback loop to the product team
  • Maintain effective time management balancing prospects, projects, and internal responsibilities.
  • Participate in calibration, team meetings and bring constructive feedback on how to improve our current workflow
  • Collaborate and assist cross departmentally with Marketing, RevOps, Finance, Circle, Content and Community, Support Systems, etc.
  • Minimal travel

Who We're Looking For

  • 1+ years of direct people management experience in a customer support or account management environment, including experience with interviewing and hiring
  • Experience working with performance targets (KPIs) and motivating team members to exceed goals in an inclusive team environment
  • Background in providing feedback
  • Experience with data analysis and project management
  • Experience with change management
  • High level of comfort with sales, prospecting and marketing tools & processes
  • Highly organized and can handle multiple prospects with ease
  • Entrepreneurship: a self-starter who has a high sense of urgency and can work within undefined processes
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM ad/or Sales Enablement software preferred
