Tecton's founders developed the first Feature Store when they created Uber's Michelangelo ML platform. In pursuit of bringing ML to every production application, we have since brought the leading commercial feature store to market and built the most popular open-source feature store.

We are funded by Sequoia Capital and Andreessen Horowitz and have a fast-growing team that works out of SF, NYC, and remotely. Our team has years of experience building and operating business-critical machine learning systems at leading tech companies like Uber, Google, Facebook, Airbnb, Twitter, and Quora, and we're now bringing those same capabilities to every organization in the world.

Tecton is looking for a Sales Operations Director to work with our VP of Sales to refine and execute on our go-to-market strategy. You will be the initial member and leader of the Strategy & Operations team and will be tasked with supporting Tecton's sales team and partnering with cross-functional teams to identify system, data or process needs that can drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities

    • Assist in the development of the Go To Market strategy for the global sales teams, and help execute on it with the VP of Sales. This will also include presenting to senior leadership around the topics of future investments, decision making around strategic & operational scale and efficiency.
    • Providing & presenting recommendations, and action plans to exploit opportunities for the sales team, as well as pointing out any weaknesses - alongside supporting the day-to-day business needs of the sales teams - cadence, reporting, ad-hoc analysis, account management, forecasting, and setting up systems etc.
    • Assist in building the financial plan for - territory carvings, account assignments, financial plan, quotas, compensation etc.
    • Build, maintain, update and optimize critical dashboards in Salesforce.com for key business stakeholders in marketing and sales to track manage and provide insights on KPIsPartner with Finance on budgeting, goal setting, metric definition, and sales performance reporting;
    • Support the Sales team on strategic planning, sales strategy, and special projects
    • Implementing and managing sales automation tools - Ensure the sales team has the tools they need to succeed by evaluating usage and capability of the tools currently in use.
    • Working with sales leadership to develop organizational goals - responsible to work with sales leaders to provide data-driven input on future organizational goals.

    • Planning and measures work - accurately scopes out plan/projects, sets objectives and metrics, breaks down work into the process steps, anticipates and adjusts for roadblocks, measures performance against results and evaluates them
    • Business Acumen - combination of knowledge and skill informed by experience: knowledge about key business issues, the skill to apply that knowledge, and the confidence to take action informed by past experiences.
    • Systems Knowledge - Experience and deep understanding of sales systems (Salesforce, Excel, Outreach, etc.)
    • Leadership - someone who inspires passion and motivation, someone with a vision and the path to realizing it, someone who ensures their team has support and tools to achieve their goals

Qualifications

    • Demonstrate a pragmatic approach to problem-solving, and also highly analytical - able to manipulate large data sets.
    • Experience of using tools such as; SFDC, Tableau, Clari, Excel, GDrive office suite, Data enrichment tools / databases
    • Degree in a highly analytical field - Mathematics, Business, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering etc
    • Expert level Excel
    • Understanding of core business processes in a B2B technology environment; sales, marketing, product development, customer support and success, professional services
    • College Degree and 5-8 years related work experience required, MBA Preferred
    • Ability to interface with all levels of employees, from Executive level to employee base
    • Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects and work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
    • Strong customer service orientation, analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication skills, written, interpersonal and presentation skills
    • Strong business acumen
    • Software/SaaS Industry experience is desirable, but not required
