The Role
Prosper is seeking a Sr. Manager of Partnerships to manage our existing pipeline of Partnerships across our key products: Personal Loans, HELOC, and Credit Cards.

This person is responsible for identifying new areas of strategic opportunity and for creating new high growth, large scale B2B partnerships to enable new borrower (B2C) acquisition. Additionally, this person is responsible for managing, optimizing and growing our existing partner relationships and will have a meaningful, direct impact on our business results.

Problems You Will Solve

    • Own several key partnership programs with accountability for partner-related business results, activities and decision-making
    • Uncover new opportunities for revenue growth and cost savings
    • Aggressively grow existing partner relationships and build/maintain strong relationships with partners by creating ongoing value for both sides and ensuring outstanding communication and follow-through on commitments
    • Help to shape the product roadmap to execute against strategic opportunities
    • Develop new strategic partnerships in various verticals, markets, etc.
    • Work with and influence a cross-functional team internally (e.g. risk, product, marketing, capital markets, and corporate strategy) to support deal execution and drive development of new innovative products and business models that enhance our effectiveness in the market
    • Use business acumen, analytical skills, and relationship experience to market and execute complex initiatives, such as on-boarding new partners and developing data and technology integration with existing partners

About You

    • 7+ years total work experience, 4+ years building strategic partnerships and/or managing business development
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including communication, networking, cold calling, relationship-building, negotiation, and building influence
    • Must be able to articulate Prosper's vision, roadmap, and mission through highly polished presentation skills
    • Savvy understanding of commercial legal contracts and ability to speak legalese with legal counsel
    • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and develop recommendations
    • Creative and strategic thinker who enjoys brainstorming new opportunities with colleagues and partners
    • Strong project management skills and a track record of on-time delivery
    • Comfortable in an entrepreneurial, fast paced, and fluid environment; comfortable delivering results with a small, lean team
    • Significant experience of collaboration with product, risk, capital markets and operations

    • Pluses: Experience in Financial Services and marketplace based partnerships, proven and demonstrated experience as a deal closer and team leader
