SUMMARY: This position assists with the insurance placement process in our Executive Risk Solutions (ERS) team specializing in Directors and Officers, Employment Practice and Fiduciary Liability insurance for publicly-traded companies.

General information

  • This position is a salaried, exempt and full-time position.
  • This position can be remote and/or located at our San Francisco office.
  • This position reports to: ERS Public Company Team Leader.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist Senior Account Executives with their book of business and progressing to manage your own book.
  • Develop marketing strategies to address client needs.
  • Prepare client presentation and proposal materials including analysis of our clients' risk profiles and performing coverage and policy reviews.
  • Negotiate coverage provisions with the markets adhering to Executive Risk Services' standards.
  • With oversight from Senior Account Executives, marketing of renewal accounts.
  • Participation in client/underwriter presentations.
  • May assist managers to train the next level down.
  • Perform other duties and assist with special projects as assigned.

What you bring to the table

  • Understanding of public company accounting and technical aspects of D&O, EPL and Fiduciary Insurance contracts. Working knowledge of Crime placements is preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently and to be flexible with ever-changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Must work well with others in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment and be responsive to co-workers and colleagues.
  • Must also work well independently, with minimal supervision and able to take initiative and create solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as PowerPoint, Word and Excel and the Internet. Ability to learn and implement other programs quickly and efficiently.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Active participation as an Newfront team member, suggesting improvements in processes and procedures and ways to make the organization better.
  • Ability to forge relationships and build trust.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years broker or insurer experience with D&O and related management liability coverage.

Certificates, licenses, registration

CA Department of Insurance Property & Casualty License (required).
