The Software QA Engineer (Manual) role is a remote position ideal for those with extensive knowledge in SDLC. You will share our goal to create the best product in the market. As our Software QA Engineer, you will be responsible for planning test scenarios for new and existing functionalities of the application. You should be comfortable with and have experience working in small, fast-moving teams with "just enough" process.

What you'll do:

  • Validate data on frontend v/s backend using SQL queries.
  • Pull developers code to local domain and execute test cases on local.
  • Perform database updates or changes as per requirement.
  • Write manual test cases in detail manner prior to US delivery and execute them within the sprint.
  • Work close with dev and product to deliver a defect free user story.
  • Execute API scripts and validate response in POSTMAN, backend and frontend.
  • Available to work during the weekends or long hours in case of high priority business requirements
  • Switch between different branches using Linux commands or any other tools to execute test cases on new features and perform apple to apple comparison.

What you'll bring:

  • At least 5 years of experience testing software.
  • At least 2 years of experience working within Agile environment. Understanding of Agile SDLC.
  • At least 2 years of SQL experience, specifically joining tables and writing basic queries.
  • You have a passion for performing manual tests, but you love to automate the test cases as much as you can
  • Candidate must have knowledge in Git
  • Candidate must have experience with SQL
  • Candidate must have excellent problem-solving skills
  • Candidate must have good communication skill
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
  • Automation using selenium is a plus
  • Knowledge in Zephyr with Jira is a plus
