About the Role:

The QA Manager acts as a strategic partner working with multiple enterprise systems teams and business stakeholders. They use strong interpersonal skills, solution/technical knowledge, product knowledge, industry experience, and best practices to drive strategy, value, and ROI.

The QA Manager uses technical skills and communication strategies to engage and persuade in engagements where they do not have direct authority over resources. They interact with both technical and non-technical team members to understand requirements and design comprehensive quality assurance strategies/solutions. The QA Manager will frequently provide oversight or coaching to testers within the context of a project. This role is responsible for ensuring that quality standards are met and adhered to by applying their deep knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and techniques.

Successful candidates have a passion for testing software, a strong track record of growth, and good demonstrated experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage a team of QA testers and test automation engineers across multiple Agile software delivery teams, with a hybrid onshore/offshore models
  • Ensure QA team members develop deep subject matter expertise of the components within Business Technology domains across Lead to Cash.
  • Ensure QA team test plans actually result in the highest quality standards.
  • Lead the creation of key testing artifacts (such as test plans, test cases, reports)
  • Develop full-scale test strategies and plans and associated communications documents.
  • Lead the identification and implementation of a test automation platform to support end to end back office lead to cash flow
  • Run automated test suites and do manual testing as needed.
  • Report test results to the development team and collaborate closely with developers to rapidly resolve software defects and other issues
  • Review test plans from offshore teams and provides advice and support to enhance test strategies of offshore teams
  • Proactively share automated and manual test suites between our US and offshore teams
  • Establish software test policies and procedures for our software test teams worldwide
  • Ensure that all software that goes into production is stable, correct, and meets enterprise software standards
  • Provides inputs related to Estimates, capacity planning, Sprints, and Release Planning.
  • Ensure products continuously comply with quality, performance, reliability requirements as well as relevant banking regulatory requirements across products
  • Full understanding and ability to deploy QC tools and methodologies in performing effective change impact analysis and in improving the quality posture of products
  • Manage automation roadmap across all products, platforms.
  • Metrics, KPIs, and data-driven decision-making. Own the metrics, KPIs for project success. Define, measure, and report on these metrics. We make decisions based on data.
  • Analyze existing quality processes, tools, and systems and work with cross-functional teams for improvements
  • Voices out opinions with rational explanations in Release GO/NO Go calls And all critical decision-making meetings.
  • Works closely with Agile development teams, product managers & architects, and promotes the use of best practices within the team.

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years experience in software engineering and QA
  • 2+ years of management experience in a testing capacity
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce platform
  • Excellent People Manager, managing engineers, leads, promotes, rewards competence and skills within the team.
  • Strong hands-on QA automation experience (Robot, Selenium, SmartBear, etc)
  • Extensive API and backend test experience
  • Proven ability to develop comprehensive software test plans for enterprise-strength software, including regression and performance testing.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology and working experience in an Agile environment
  • Experience managing small teams of test engineers - onshore and offshore
  • Experience with all phases of software testing including test planning, functional testing, regression testing, code review, and design of new features.
  • Experience with applications such as; Salesforce, Boomi, Zuora, Marketo, NetSuite
  • BS in Computer Science or a related area, or relevant work experience
