Job Summary

As an Ops Manager - Training Content Development, you will play a critical role in creating, updating, and maintaining the suite of training materials (playbooks, short videos, how-to-guides, etc) used to prepare on-site representatives (Site Leads) on how to properly execute a BallerTV-filmed event. In the process, you'll contribute to building BallerTV into a once-in-a-generation sports media business.

This is a role on BallerTV's Ops Excellence team that will involve working closely with the team on establishing best practices in regards to filming equipment, proprietary ios app, internet device, and marketing asset setups for every unique sport that BallerTV covers. Primary responsibilities of the role will include process documentation, playbooking, and creating effective training material content and materials to best prepare BallerTV Site Lead for success in their roles.

Essential Functions

• Work within the Ops Excellence team to help establish and fully understand our best practices, standards, and processes for BallerTV event execution. Ultimately, the primary function of this role will be to make sure those standards and processes are thoroughly documented, turned into playbooks, and put into training materials for BallerTV Site Leads.
• Create all the BTV training content, iterating on content formats (document, video, in-person scripts) to best convey the required information for every BallerTV event execution format. For some sports this will involve creating this content from scratch and for others it will be editing a current library of materials.
• Write concise, effective, easy-to-understand copy and instructions for all the various elements of BallerTV event execution
• Take pictures and videos of equipment, setup instructions, ios app use, etc to incorporate into the training materials
• Ensure our library of training documents and materials are frequently updated as we make changes to the product, equipment, and processes

Basic Qualifications

Qualifications include:

• B.S. / B.A. in operations, HR, or other related field
• 3+ years of experience in training & development, or training content development

Preferred Qualifications

• Passionate about developing online self-service training content, modules, videos, how-to-guides, etc.
• Experience with either process documentation or training material creation in both written and video formats. Experience in instructional design preferred, but not required.
• Ability to communicate of technical or operational concepts succinctly and in a digestible format
• Ability to produce high quality training content and other playbook materials at a fast pace. We are a rapidly growing business that is expanding into several new sport types and need someone with the ability to keep up, multi-task, and work through a variety of high priority initiatives and meet expected timelines.
• Outstanding attention to detail and a curiosity that elicits important information
• Proficiency in google suite (docs, slides, sheets), photoshop (or alternative), video editing software
• Comfort with ambiguity and change. A self-starter that thrives in an environment where all the information is not necessarily always available. Experience working in a high-growth, startup environment is definitely a plus.
