Do you enjoy leading, guiding, and influencing team members throughout the Developer Operations (DevOps) journey? As a Technical Product Manager (TPM) reporting to the Director of Platform, you will have the opportunity to work on some of the most complex challenges. You will apply your technical expertise to solve cloud-based solutions at scale. You will create and execute the vision for transforming how Built builds in partnership with Engineering leaders with the combination of cultural philosophies, practices, and tools that deliver end-to-end applications and infrastructure solutions.
The DevOps TPM will own both large and small opportunities independently. A successful candidate has technical depth and hands-on implementation experience of various practices and tools in the DevOps toolchain. You'll be improving the organization's ability to deliver applications and services at high velocity: evolving and improving products at a faster pace than organizations using traditional software development and infrastructure management processes and better serve customers. You'll be responsible for proactively identifying problems and enacting strategic improvements. To do this you'll need to develop a strong understanding of Built's product, organizational structure, and long-term strategy, ultimately ensuring that each and every one of your projects drives the alignment of teams across Built to our company goals.
In This Role, You Will
- Own DevOps product strategy and implementation end-to-end serving our Engineering organization
- Develop the strategy, roadmap, and features required to enable innovation with high velocity and frequency
- Provide and prioritize engineering-ready work along with metrics and mechanisms to determine success
- Advocate for the technology the company needs to better serve current and future customers - becoming an expert in Built Engineering best practices
- Communicate and evangelize DevOps product progress to the broader Product and Engineering organizations
- Enable Built to grow at scale by creating scalable foundations to support other engineering teams to remove roadblocks in serving our customers and take advantage of the unique opportunities we have to delight customers
Who You Are

- You have 3+ years of experience in consulting, tech, finance, or a start-up environmentYou understand how a fast growing business operates and can quickly synthesize information, distill key points, and make connections that lead to innovative business solutions.
- You're a relationship builder who can tailor communication style and substance to your audience
- You are a structured logical thinker with an affinity for data
- You demonstrate advanced understanding of:Development methodologies that have adapted for project management and meeting management (Agile/SCRUM)Performance management frameworks like MBOs, OKRs, etc.
- Data management platforms for developer analytics as well as other DevOps tools
- You enjoy working independently and thrive in fast-paced, highly ambiguous, cross-functional environments
- You are scrappy.
- You approach questions with scientific rigor, but can execute pragmatically -- the simplest solution may be the best at times
- You are intellectually curious and love to learn about new things, you ask a lot of questions, and you're quick to grasp new concepts.
- You want to get your hands dirty but also have the ability to see the big picture.
- You have demonstrable experience with developing meaningful narratives around data.
