Remote job description

We're looking for a Staff Product Manager to lead our Cart & Checkout team. You'll build secure, powerful, and customizable cart and checkout experiences to serve Squarespace's two-sided marketplaces by enabling a flexible and powerful shopping experience in service of both sellers and their buyers.

The Cart & Checkout team will take a holistic view of all the ways shopper can engage with transactions and payments on the platform regardless of the types of products and services offered. To this end, you'll work with the groups responsible for Online Retail (selling physical goods), Digital Products and Services, Scheduling, and International to understand the diverse needs of these groups and build a holistic checkout strategy.

You will report to a Director of Product Management and have the option of working remotely within the U.S. or on-site (hybrid) at our NYC headquarters.

Responsibilities

  • Guide product development-from conception to launch-of the products and product solutions in your scope
  • Establish and prioritize our product goals, share these priorities with larger development teams
  • Develop an understanding of Squarespace's users by conducting research, data analysis, customer interviews, and usability testing
  • Build relationships with engineers and designers to create extraordinary products
  • Partner with marketing and acquisition to launch new products, with customer operations to develop excellent support for merchants, and with analytics to monitor engagement and evaluate product success

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant experience developing technology-powered products for consumer and business SaaS companies
  • Experience developing and optimizing ecommerce checkout experiences and complex transaction platforms
  • An understanding of the techniques and methods of modern product discovery and product delivery.
  • Figure out solutions to hard problems with many constraints, assess risks, and to lay out your argument in a well-structured, data-informed way.
  • Experience aligning different teams to achieve business goals and outstanding user experiences
