About The Team:
The Information Technology team's mission is to keep the company efficient & secure by ensuring the systems and technology that we use every day are consistently up and running. We are responsible for managing Confluent's internal systems & infrastructure and providing end-user support. The IT group oversees a cloud-first environment with a mixture of on-premise & public cloud infrastructure as well as a large number of best-of-breed SaaS applications.

About The Role:
The Sr. Program Manager will be the key driver to formalize IT processes and procedures, while also leading cross-functional initiatives. The incumbent will be responsible to develop and implement an IT Project Management framework, change management, and other core processes. The Sr. Program manager will also help lead cross-functional initiatives, including business process improvements & automation.

What you'll do

Design & implement processes within the IT organization for Project and Change Management
Develop KPIs & dashboards to measure resource management, project delivery, and other operational metrics
Ensure that we are able to deliver projects effectively and on time
Develop standards for recurring project status slides
Work with stakeholders to drive cross-cutting and critical initiatives for the company
Document key processes including business requirements and process diagrams
Proactively identify and resolve roadblocks/challenges affecting projects
rain and help other leaders to become better in program/project management
Run cross-functional meetings and drive decision-making around schedule adjustments, bug triage, and internal and external partner/customer delivery

What we're looking for

7+ years of technical program management experience, working directly with technical teams
Experience managing end-to-end lifecycle of technical projects in both waterfall & agile methodologies
Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills to successfully work with both engineering and other non-technical stakeholders
Broad technical knowledge across infrastructure, applications, and business processes
Experience building projects & dashboards in Jira
Familiarity with Asana, and other Project Management tools
Experience with Lucidcharts, Visio, gliffy, and other diagram tools
PMP, CSM, or other certifications
Experience with ITIL framework & methodologies
