Education, certifications and experience

  • DAWIA Program Management Level III certification.
  • No less than 4 years relevant experience in DoD acquisition programs WITH cost, schedule, and performance responsibilities.

Position requirements

  • Shall possess mastery knowledge of program management concepts, principles and practices that are necessary to appropriately balance cost, schedule, and performance.
  • Shall possess an advanced understanding of Microsoft (MS) Project and associated applications to properly track and report on the status of current and anticipated cost, schedule, and performance.
  • Shall possess a mastery understanding of the roles/responsibilities of those individuals (project directors, engineers, logisticians, price analysts, COs, CORs, legal counsel and financial specialists) that support and enable the effective and efficient execution and management of a Federal contract.
  • Shall possess an advanced ability to identify risks, their associated likelihoods, and potential impacts.
  • Shall possess an advanced ability to develop and recommend the appropriate risk mitigation course by using avoidance, acceptance, transference, and limitation.
  • Shall possess an advanced ability to properly identify programmatic ambiguity in programmatic functions, and propose alternatives that remove ambiguity and promote efficiency.

Responsibilities

The following are typical areas of responsibility that will require little-to-no explanations in terms of program management concepts, principles and practices, and applicable laws, regulations, and policies.

  • Manages all areas of task contract requirements, including cost, schedule, and performance. Provide reports as directed within the contract(s).
  • Serve as primary Point of Contact on assigned programs including coordination of related staff actions, i.e., point papers, information papers, etc.
  • Prepares research and technical studies, reports and analyses including recommended course of action.
  • Identifies lessons learned and best practice recommendations.
  • Identifies and develops training programs including the creation and maintenance of related publications.
  • Develops and present technical reports and briefings.
  • Conducts cost/price and similar statistical analyses.
  • Actively participates in integrated process team (IPT) as required.
  • Assists in all phases of the planning and execution.
  • Assists with protocol, security, and administrative matters for acquisition team members, third party contractors and other stakeholders.
