Are you an experienced Product Manager that thrives on partnering with business & technical teams to deliver a top-notch Loan Origination solution? Does the idea of leveraging your experience to help set the direction of the products/features needed to create a best-in-class customer experience move you? Our Product leadership team is looking for an innovative Sr. Technical Product Manager (Loan Origination team) who will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to take on our toughest business challenges and define compelling solutions for our customers. As a Sr. Technical Product Manager at Oportun, you'll work with some of the brightest UX designers, engineers and business units while also developing your skills and furthering your career within one of the most innovative and progressive FinTech companies today. Our Loan Origination experience is a complete, end-to-end, omni-channel journey where the customer can apply online, over the phone, or in one of our Retail locations. They can leverage their channel of choice at each individual step in the process based on their preference. As a result, every feature is meticulously designed for the customer and our internal agent experience for all 3 channels. As we expand our footprint, we need to continue to evolve our online channel with a customer experience that serves all types of customers. Specifically with our customer base of the underserved, this may be their first experience with an online lender. We want to enable an experience that is simple, intuitive, and seamless.
Responsibilities:

You are a thought partner and a leader... you will be working with a talented group of business leaders and engineers to deliver a roadmap that you craft in support of our business strategy. Are comfortable navigating through ambiguous problem spaces in pursuit of clarity and concrete outcomeYou are someone engineers will love to work with because you are curious, listen, and are technical enough to speak their language, understand how to design requirements that solve the business need while balancing the complexity of the technical solution, You are their partner to get things done.You are someone the business owners will love because you understand how to break apart something very complex into logical, understandable, and sequenced parts of a roadmap and gain buy-in as needed. You also listen to the business need, and demonstrate product and thought leadership to provide solution options.
Qualifications:
7+ years of Technical Product Management experience, including product analytics to support data-driven decision making.Experience in the financial services / fin tech industry, including innovative fintech technologies and solutions.Experience with loan origination, customer and/or agent facing experience. Willing to be "hands-on" in the details partner directly with stakeholders in on the Business, Legal, and Engineering teams. Experience working with business and technology executives from many disciplines (strategy, risk, operations, fraud, technology, business intelligence, finance, training, legal, compliance, cybersecurity) to understand the needs, define features, and prioritize and manage scope to operate in an iterative agile delivery framework.Detail-oriented, willing to work all use cases, customer flows, and edge cases within our team, and with other teams in the customers end-to-end experience.NICE-TO-HAVES Working knowledge of standard lending processes & procedures is preferred.Ability to understand API's and working knowledge of basic tools like SQL preferred.Experience with mobile and native technologies preferred.Bi-lingual language skills (English/Spanish) is a plus.#LI-RA1#LI-Remote#IND
