Senior/Principal Product Manager Konnect SaaS Runtime Management

Kong is looking for an experienced and self-motivated technical product manager to join our growing global team and be responsible for building our SaaS-delivered Runtime Management experience. The Konnect team is focused on helping customers easily operate API gateways and service meshes with a cohesive full lifecycle API management experience spanning developers, architects, and operators. This role will be responsible for defining strategy, APIs, integration patterns, and user experience for integrating runtimes (e.g. Kong Gateway, Kubernetes, and Kuma) into our global management platform.

We are looking for a person who can both define vision and drive execution of a software product that is by developers and for developers. You will play a pivotal role defining compelling and differentiated capabilities, communicating roadmap to internal and external stakeholders, and collaborating with marketing and sales to rapidly expand the Konnect customer base. The Konnect team offers a fast-paced environment where you will have the opportunity to build new businesses from the ground up while developing skills in cutting-edge technologies.

What You'll Bring

• Driving the overall Konnect Runtime Management roadmap, including defining the priorities and tracking the success of the features.
• Establish product requirements based on an intimate knowledge of the specific target customers and developer portal ecosystem.
• Work in a cross-functional and collaborative role spanning multiple teams including product, design, data & product analysts, engineering, and professional services.
• Collaborating with other product owners, design, and engineering to bring your ideas to market through rapid iteration through SaaS principles.
• Be a technical, strong and eloquent product advocate for our full-lifecycle API management platform with regular presentations and talks.

What You'll Be Doing

• 4+ years of software product management experience, preferably in SaaS or packaged enterprise products.
• A quantitative product management mindset and ability to use data to inform product decisions and to experiment with Product-led Growth.
• Experience working with API products and developers as a primary product audience.
• Understanding of how B2B go-to-market motions work (ideally experience helping manage products that have both SaaS and on-premise offerings).
• Excellent communication skills: both written and verbal.
• Flexibility to a changing set of opportunities and fluency in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with the Cloud Native ecosystem and Kubernetes.
