Product Manager, Platform

Being the core of such strategic solutions for the biggest companies on the planet requires a product with a clear vision and a driven team to meet those goals. We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our team and help guide the core Stardog Platform. As a Product Manager, Platform your focus will be on Stardog's core backend platform and Cloud offerings. You will work closely with the VP, Product and Engineering Management team to capture the product strategy, drive the development process, and work collaboratively alongside your peers in Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to achieve the team's goals. You will have the opportunity to have a significant impact on the future of our products, and you should have the drive to see that though. We expect you to develop a complete understanding of the software. You will be responsible for performing market research and understanding the competitive landscape to provide positioning of the strengths of our platform. You will work on requirement descriptions to highlight key features and describe their impact as well as providing detailed user stories to help drive feature development. You will spend time developing and communicating both short and long term roadmap to internal and external stakeholders. You must have strong communication skills as you will be talking to and understanding the challenges our customers face, bringing their input and requirements to the team and communicating our vision to them. We expect you to have prior experience in a Product Management role, ideally 5+ years. Further, our product is fairly technical, we expect the same of you; a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar degree is strongly preferred. We would like to see experience in the Data Management space, database fundamentals, and distributed systems. We also would prefer familiarity with technologies like Kubernetes and Spark, as well as understanding of the basics of AI, ML, and NLP. If you have experience with graph based technology, that's great! If not, we're happy to teach you. Finally, it would be a bonus if you've worked at a SaaS company or have experience with Cloud Security Certifications, such as SOC2 or ISO27001. Stardog is a remote-first company, so you should be comfortable with, and have experience working remotely. We are also a start-up, so you should be motivated and self-directed and prepared for the fast-paced environment that entails. In the future, travel in North America and Europe may be required; both for face to face team meetings, as well as conferences or customer related events.
