What we do at Codat

Our mission is to make life easier for small and medium sized businesses, the backbone of our global economy.

We do that by working with fintech companies and financial institutions to help them connect into the systems their small business customers use. With this connectivity, our clients are building next generation products to take the friction out of running a small business, from business management software to alternative lending and corporate cards.

Codat is a Series C-funded company, backed by some of the leading investors and most successful tech companies in the world, including J.P. Morgan, Shopify, Plaid, PayPal Ventures, Amex Ventures, Index Ventures and Tiger Global. We have offices in London, New York, Sydney.

Codat was founded by two developers (plus a finance guy!) who set out to build an integrations platform for other developers - so they can focus on building new features and functionality, not reinventing the wheel.

Today, developers are still the critical stakeholders in the evaluation, implementation and long-term success of using Codat. Some of these developers sit within large enterprises, others are themselves start-up founders. Whatever size of company they belong to they should have a world-class experience using our API products, an experience filled with simplicity and aha! moments. You would be required to build the vision, strategy and roadmap to make this experience a reality.

Most importantly, this role represents an opportunity to have leveraged impact on an entire ecosystem building products to better serve small businesses globally.

What will you be doing?

• Define the metrics and KPIs for measuring the success of Codat's developer experience.
• Develop the product strategy for an optimal experience for the developers building innovative products using Codat.
• Build and deliver a roadmap of products and features used by developers which accelerate launch, adoption and usage.
• Influence the design of other Codat products, championing and promoting the developer to create a unified experience.
• Have responsibility for a Developer Relations team who are hands on with developers, gathering feedback and accelerating the creation of advocates and evangelists.

What excites us?

• 5+ years of experience in development or product roles
• Technical background essential - you must be comfortable writing code to understand the needs of developers.
• Product mindset - either demonstrated in a role within a product team or through something you have built yourself.
• Customer empathy - Natural passion for finding creative solutions when there are customer challenges.
• Experience effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, solutions and sales.
