Engineering Manager, Secure Endpoint Access

The Security Infrastructure group is responsible for delivering a highly trusted foundation for Stripe to operate on. Our teams provides consistent primitives regardless of the underlying infrastructure, enforcing strong security guarantees by default.

The Secure Endpoint Access team is responsible for our "Zero Trust" infrastructure. We ensure that access to internal resources is only granted if devices are fully patched, running the appropriate security controls, and have not exhibited any suspicious behavior as observed by Stripe's security monitoring systems. Endpoints which trigger high severity detections by Stripe's security monitoring systems are automatically quarantined and restricted from internal resources until the issue has been remediated.

This leader will chart out the long term vision for Secure Endpoint Access at Stripe and grow the team to realize that vision, in close collaboration with stakeholders across Security leadership and broader Stripe. The team is currently seeded with tenured Stripe engineers and this will be a greenfield opportunity to help the group continue to scale, setup for success by a strong foundation.

This team will deliver:

• Our internal ingress systems, including HTTP front end proxies and SSH bastions
• An Endpoint Security Enforcement system, with ability to dynamically quarantine devices based on signals collected from Stripe security monitoring systems
• A surprisingly great user experience for Stripes to do their best work no matter where they are located, from a variety of devices, with strong security guarantees enforced yet fading into the background
