Engineering Manager, eCommerce

The Engineering Manager will lead a talented team of engineers, focusing on the e-commerce side of our business. The ideal candidate will have management experience and strong technical background. This is a new role for Bright Cellars, and it will have the opportunity to lead and help scale our engineering team.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead a team of support and full stack engineers, through providing daily guidance, coaching, and mentorship
• Manage the teams deliverables and ensure they are delivered in a timely manner
• Partner with the product team through use of the product roadmap to set engineering priorities, determine release schedules, and track progress
• Serve as a technology leader with a strong focus on performance and scalability
• Communicate with business stakeholders, while ensuring the engineering team is developing deliverables
• Develop effective partnerships within your team and other teams within Bright Cellars
• Lead hiring efforts as your team grows

Experience We're Looking For:

• 4 years of experience managing engineering teams, preferably with an eCommerce background
• Background as a software engineer, engineering lead, or architect with a strong technical understanding of full stack development and languages
• Experience developing applications that have data complexities
• A Bachelor's Degree in software engineering, computer science, informatics, or a similar field.
• Proven ability to rapidly learn new technologies, developing and implementing proof of concepts
• Strong understanding of or experience with full stack architecture and development
