The Role:
We're looking for an experienced engineering manager with a number of years of experience, great leadership skills with a track record of delivering great solutions to complex problems while supporting a fabulous team. Formulate and execute strategies and coordinate with other managers while relish working within the superb team of experts in UX, design, engineering, investing and law.
To be successful as an engineering manager, you should have exceptional foresight, great communication skills, working knowledge of different engineering disciplines and an aptitude for managing risk. Ideally, candidates will have proof of their managerial and technical skills, and an appreciation for the complex nature of the industry.
Together we'll disrupt the old world of paying an arm and leg to lawyers to create documents designed for other lawyers. We're replacing this with an elegant data-driven platform that uses sophisticated document automation, data, and expert knowledge to create the perfect documents in minutes. Our products give startup founders the insight, knowledge, and tools to build their dream quickly and securely. You'll learn more about how a startup is created, built, and scaled. You'll be working alongside experts who've been there and done it, and see first-hand how thousands of startups make decisions that determine their futures. What you'll find yourself doing:
- Line managing of about 20 engineers
- Source engineering candidates and lead the hiring process to fill open positions from time to time
- Monitor and improve team members' performance and happiness at the company
- Responsible for identifying the needs of the team, including training and hiring requirements
- Communicate effectively with all teams and collaborate with sales to create exciting new products
- Provide great mentorship and training to the tech team
- Propose budgets for team-building activities and other various projects

- You have some personal projects on the go (maybe you write a blog, help with friends' websites, contribute to open source projects etc)
- Full-stack experience with Java/Spring or AWS would be a highly appreciated bonus
- You believe in the Agile manifesto
