ENGINEERING MANAGER: We are looking for a leader that has experience with software project management to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow a team at a growing company.

The Engineering Manager at InfoTrust will be responsible for defining and implementing engineering best practices and processes. As InfoTrust grows we are excited to expand our team and add this new leadership role. The Engineering Manager is responsible for optimizing engineering processes and overseeing several team members' growth.

More specific responsibilities for the engineering manager include:

  • Providing strategic direction of digital analytics engineering projects in collaboration with the Head of Discovery, Head of Data Science, and Senior Visualization Specialist.
  • Capacity planning, making sure the right people are assigned to the right projects and working through the ebbs and flows of our ever-growing company.
  • Project profitability tracking.
  • Supporting the sales team in requirements gathering and assisting with an estimation of project work.
  • Team Leadership: this includes coaching team members, having weekly one-on-ones, working with the Head of Talent Acquisition on hiring new team members (the when and who) and, and when applicable, firing.
  • Working with the team to align objectives and future innovations. For example, what cloud certifications we should pursue.
  • Building for the future and a 24/7 support model for our clients.
  • Keeping innovation front and center, fostering a team that thrives on diversity and ownership.

Requirements for the engineering manager:

  • Must have leadership experience; not just a manager, but a true leader who was responsible for growing people and leading a team
  • Strong verbal communication skills. Be able to communicate with difficult clients, internal teams, and everything in between
  • Ability to handle escalations of client concerns, work throughout of scope of work, and understanding when to push back
  • Must have strong project manager and engineering process (git repo, code review, burndowns, etc) experience
  • Lifelong learner
  • True automator - always looking at ways to be more efficient
  • Standardization and project documentation experience

  • Location: We highly prefer someone in the Cincinnati area. However, are open to someone experienced in managing remote teams that is authorized to work in the US and work remotely from their US location

COVID updates

Currently, all office locations are closed. We want to ensure the safety of all of our employees. Therefore, it will be expected, no matter where the candidate is located that all interviews and onboarding will be done remotely. We do prefer someone local to Cincinnati for this role, but will consider someone that will continue to be remote within the US after we reopen offices.
