In this role, you will

  • Lead and manage teams of software engineers working on building Aurora's on vehicle platform software.
  • Partner closely and work effectively across multiple functions within Aurora to ensure new vehicle platforms, software platforms, software releases, and fleets are integrated, reliable, efficient, and monitored.
  • Develop processes to uplevel the productivity of the team and quality of deliverables as well as drive operational excellence across the team.
  • Create roadmaps and strategies to meet safety and security requirements to meet autonomous vehicle requirements.
  • Execute on Aurora's plan to scale capabilities; define and evolve the team and processes as Aurora scales its vehicle operations.

Required Qualifications

  • BS in related field
  • 10+ years of experience in a leadership capacity, managing multiple engineering teams
  • Proven track record of growing, motivating and managing high performing teams
  • Excellent people management, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in collaboration with hardware, systems, and operations teams
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in safety critical software development
  • Experience in creation of new process to meet evolving industry standards
  • Experience in control systems
  • General understanding of software development process
  • Project management experience
