We are hiring a Senior Director, Real Estate & Facilities to lead our Real Estate and Facilities teams as we design, build and operate our varied real estate portfolio across the US.

In this role, you will

  • Own and collaboratively refine Aurora's Real Estate & Facilities mission and strategies with a bias on proactively addressing any maintenance and employee service needs.
  • Comprehensively build, launch, and communicate scalable programs, systems, and processes for Real Estate & Facilities to accurately track and measure tasks and responsibilities in ways that can also be analyzed and reviewed to measure against defined expectations.
  • Actively lead, empower, champion, and develop the Real Estate & Facilities team across multiple sites in the US to successfully achieve their deliverables and provide experiences to Aurorans that allow them to do their best work.
  • Deliver best-in-class workplace services balancing costs and needs and expectations from business stakeholders to create a dynamic and flexible workplace
  • Create and accurately manage the Workplace budget to control operating costs and provide insights for financial planning and analysis, including delegating accountability and responsibility for purchasing as appropriate while maintaining oversight.
  • Accurately define, manage, and analyze Workplace metrics to track impact, monitor company satisfaction and help leaders make data driven informed decisions.
  • Effectively support the fulfillment of necessary compliance requirements required to maintain a safe and healthy workplace, with appropriate delegation.
  • Partner cross functionally with many internal teams including Corporate IT, Corporate Security, Operations, Procurement and Finance
  • Create and manage a process of gathering employee sentiment/feedback to continuously evolve the workplace program
  • Develop and maintains strong and productive professional relationships with senior leaders of strategic suppliers to improve service and resolve operational issues
  • Effectively manage a team of real estate and facilities professionals located across the US, coaching, mentoring and developing direct reports and ensure that the department delivers as one integrated team

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in the areas of facilities/workplace management and/or corporate real estate
  • Led Real Estate and Facilities activities for a multi-site company with facilities across the US that were a mix of office and R&D spaces
  • Experience leading a dispersed, matrixed and cross-functional team
  • Experience with new builds, retrofits, lease negotiations and lease returns
  • Demonstrable experience with strategic planning of real estate portfolios
  • Experience building and maintaining a proactive predictive maintenance program
  • Experience directing food programs for multi-site businesses
  • Strong ability to coach, mentor and develop team members
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Outstanding oral and written communication and interpersonal skills and ability to influence and engage at all levels of a large organization

Desirable Qualifications

  • Masters or Bachelors degree in business administration or corporate real estate related fields
  • Professional/technical qualifications in real estate and/or facilities management
