ServiceTitan is seeking a Director, Market Group Operations to join one of the fastest growing tech startups in Southern California. As we expand ServiceTitan's business into commercial and construction markets, we are building out dedicated focus for these market areas. These dedicated resources will be in market groups, which are a "virtual" business unit at ServiceTitan, providing a market and customer centric view to the business.

The Director, Market Group Operations is responsible for and managing the day-to-day operations of the cross-functional matrix organization. We are currently building out the Commercial Service & Replace as well as Construction market groups. The role reports to our Senior Vice President of Commercial & Construction and will be an individual contributor role to start, with the opportunity to grow a team over time.

What you'll do:

  • Plan and develop scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives as well as market group planning/operations
  • Coordinate with cross-functional team members for optimal return on investment (ROI) and make sure that all parties are on track with initiative requirements, deadlines, and schedules
  • Identify key requirements needed from cross-functional teams and external vendors, as necessary
  • Analyze, evaluate, and overcome initiative risks, see around corners and optimize for the outcomes sought by the market group
  • Establish effective market group operating cadence
  • Facilitate change and conflict resolution strategies to ensure the cross-functional team is running optimally
  • Enforce discipline with teams and hold them accountable to maintaining focus and executing to the plan

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree + Project Management Professional Certification (PMP Certification) or Master's degree required
  • 7-10 years in a project management, Go To Market (GTM)/product functional or operations role
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Effective presentation and facilitation skills to cross-functional and cross-level audiences
  • Software as a Service (SaaS) and general software experience preferred
  • Functional experience in either GTM, Product or Financial areas
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, take ownership and drive outcomes across cross-functional execution team
  • Ability to be/self-directed and bridge to business outcomes as well as drive stakeholders and initiatives to resolution
  • Ability to make judgment calls on ambiguous topics once aligned on outcomes we seek
  • Knowledge about ServiceTitan's industries and one or more markets we serve
  • Experience managing cross-functional large initiatives in a high growth environment
  • Advanced skills in leveraging Google Sheets or bespoke project management tools
  • Ability to deal with conflict and manage escalated customer and internal situations
  • An analytical mindset and be data driven whenever practical
  • Candidates that have aspirations to build a long term career as a Chief Operations Officer (COO) would be able to build the broad ranging, multidisciplinary skill set required through this role
