Healthcare is going through an unprecedented transformation towards digital care. Medallion provides the critical administrative infrastructure to make this transition possible. We are looking for a VP of Marketing to join us on this trajectory. As the first marketing hire, your efforts will span across all marketing domains but will focus mainly on product marketing, demand generation, and communications. You will work intimately with Strategy, Sales, Customer Success, Product and Operations to develop and champion a world-class brand while serving as the voice of the customer.

You'll be directly responsible for critical areas within the marketing function. This primarily includes:

  1. Product Marketing: Cultivating our value proposition for prioritized customer segments
  2. Demand Generation: Actively facilitating business development--scaling our multi-channel marketing efforts for existing commercial opportunities while identifying new areas of growth
  3. Communications / Brand: Championing the optimal customer experience throughout the pipeline-- from first touch to lasting loyalty

This role will be a high-impact leadership position that will collaborate closely with leaders across the company. The ideal candidate will be: 1) interested in tackling a complex enterprise-level problem in a highly regulated industry

2) humble and curious to understand the problems Medallion is tackling, and

3) creative and entrepreneurial - translating their knowledge into effective brand campaigns, product launches, efficient conversion funnels, etc..

As the first hire of a new marketing function, you will also have the opportunity to hire and manage a high-performing marketing team.

Responsibilities:

Along with hiring and managing a high-performing marketing team, we will ask you to:

Product Marketing

    • Empower sales: Ensure sales, partners and users are enabled on the latest Medallion's products and services
    • Predict the future: Understand market trends, customer needs, usage and buying behavior to size market opportunities and customer demand for Medallion's product portfolio.
  • Be the voice of the customer: Seek insights about the challenges and motivations of our buyers, influencers, and end-users-- and help our organization stay focused on those drivers.
  • Compel through vision: Draw on deep data analysis, research, and your experience to optimize a roadmap of growth opportunities that help Medallion achieve accelerating KPI growth

Demand Generation

  • Move the market: Build and manage paid performance, social, event, offline, search, display, youtube and partner marketing campaigns.
  • Build our stack: Build our marketing technology stack to fuel our top of the funnel pipeline growth and bottom of the funnel analysis
  • Invest wisely: Strategically identify where marketing should apply budget to yield the best ROI, while being accountable to the financial health organization.

Communication / Brand

  • Hack growth: Grow revenue by improving brand awareness and positioning Medallion as a thought leader on critical trends impacting credentialing, provider data and compliance.
  • Build a community: Connect a community of credentialing and operations people
  • Influence policy: Be a part of the conversation between corporate, academic and government organizations shaping the future of credentialing through policy and thought-leadership
  • Be an educator: Educate the market about Medallion's core value offerings through multiple collateral such as e-books, webinars, demos, white-papers, workshops, presentations and technical blogs, driving impressions and leads from that content
  • Tell a story: Engaging storyteller with a proven ability to craft a clear narrative and captivating brand vision.
  • Champion our brand: Help our organization evolve to become a compelling, leading brand.

Who you Are:

  • 6-8+ years experience at a high-growth B2B enterprise SaaS company (or equivalent marketing role at top-tier organization).
  • History of successful partnership with sales, product, engineering, and customer success teams to understand the user, shape product roadmaps, and bring products to market through coordinated media campaigns
  • Demonstrated ability to market a new innovative product in a simple, attractive way to customers
  • One of the strongest communicators in the company--at written and verbal comms, presenting, and listening. Applying this both internally and externally
  • Excellent leadership and influencing skills; ability to build strong business partnerships both outside and within Medallion
  • Data-driven, ROI-obsessed and continuously testing to refine tactics using data in pursuit of demand generation and revenue growth
  • History of building, hiring, developing, and retaining exceptional talent
  • Successful track record creating and executing 100x growth marketing strategies

Your Background (Ideally) Includes:

  • Enterprise SaaS products and selling to healthcare organizations. Our products primarily target clinicians, provider groups and payers.
  • Marketing complex enterprise products with multiple business lines to multiple specialized audiences (preferably in the healthcare space)
  • Proven experience driving marketing strategy, focused on lead generation, top-of-funnel growth, and performance marketing
  • Advanced marketing strategy across marketing tech stack (Salesforce, Marketing Automation/ABM, CMS, and Analytics) and channels (paid search, organic search, display, account based marketing, events)
