About the role:

Aalto enables consumers to buy and sell a home all online, without a middleman or agent. To grow our community of buyers and sellers, digital is a pivotal channel that we rely on to grow both sides of the marketplace. This role will manage this critical set of channels for us and be in the eyes of the CEO and Head of Marketing on a weekly basis. Our performance marketing stack is wide but also hyper-local - from Facebook, to Google, to Nextdoor, helping consumers see the value of Aalto and driving them into our funnel. We're looking for someone to lead performance marketing at Aalto, balancing flawless execution with high level strategic thought. About the team:

The marketing team at Aalto is tasked with driving the growth of the marketplace, as well as working with our cross functional partners to build the next big thing in real estate. From brand, to performance, to content, to growth, the marketing team (currently three people) is a scrappy and nimble bunch coming from places like Google, Discord, Compass, and more. You'll join the team as a key leader, getting your hands dirty not only on performance, but other channels like direct mail, OOH, and more. Now is the time to join the Aalto marketing team while we are still small, as huge growth is in our near future.

Who You Are:

- 5+ years experience in consumer acquisition (ideally for a marketplace business) running campaigns across multiple digital channels.
- You're analytically excellent, comfortable with Excel, in-ad reporting tools, Google Analytics, tools like FullStory, and ideally SQL.
- You're comfortable presenting data to executive leaders to help in decision making, and you're not shy about pushing forward new recommendations to drive growth.
- You have experience working with PMs and engineers to drive growth across the funnel, reducing friction and implementing A/B tests.
- You're tired of being silo'ed at your current organization and you're ready to break out, impacting things across the marketing stack.
- You're friendly and love working collaboratively with others, both internally and externally, to get the job done.
- You have a passion for residential real estate and helping people get into their next dream home.
- You have a keen eye for creative and know that amazing messaging and design can truly help performance campaigns come to life.
- You have the ability to create compelling stories that showcase our product and brand, and can get creative with new communications/positioning strategies.
- Ideally, you have a mix of agency and in-house experience.
- Ideally, you've managed small teams and external agencies before.
- Ideally, you have a passion for marketplace businesses where you are tasked with growing both supply and demand.

What You'll Do:

- Assess and Recommend: You'll start with an internal audit of all our current channels and performance to date, assessing current results and providing recommendations to leadership on our next big swings.
- Optimize and Drive Results: You'll manage the day-to-day optimizations of our campaigns, leveraging best practices and your internal Aalto knowledge to drive performance.
- Understand the Audience: Become an expert on our target audience and drive insights on industry and audience trends.
-Make World-Class Creative: You'll drive creative refreshes across all of our core channels, working with our designers to get new, world class creative on a frequent basis.
- Develop Amazing LPs: You'll own all of the landing pages for Aalto, strategically designing and optimizing the experience to drive funnel growth.
- Impact the Full Funnel: You'll work closely with our product team to analyze the full funnel of Aalto, provide recommendations, and conduct analysis on where we can drive greater funnel velocity.
- Own the budget: You'll own the entire digital performance budget and make recommendations on where we lean in and out.
- Other Channels: In time, you'll take your strategic and executional eye to other channels like direct mail, OOH, and more, helping us take a performance-driven lens to other things we do to grow the marketplace.

Location:

We are currently all working remotely and expect to continue with our remote-first culture past the pandemic but the majority of the team has a home base in the San Francisco Bay Area and we have a flexible office space in the Bay Area.
