OVERVIEW

Our Marketing team is charged with evolving the Instacart brand and fueling the growth of Instacart's business. We are right- and left-brained - combining creativity with a rigorously analytical approach. We move fast, work nimbly, and are laser-focused on driving measurable business impact.

Our business-facing offerings include the newly launched Instacart Platform and our Advertising business. This area has become an increasingly important strategic focus for the business, as we seek to power the future of the grocery and retail industry.

We're looking for a Senior Director of B2B Marketing to lead the function and further define how we go-to-market with business-facing products. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, skilled storyteller, and expert influencer with the demonstrated ability to work closely with Product Management, Integrated Marketing, Creative, Acquisition, and Lifecycle teams to generate strong outcomes. This position will own the go-to-market strategy for our Retailer, Enterprise and Advertiser products. Functions including Product Marketing, Content, and Events will report into this leader. Within this scope, the role will lead initiatives related to product positioning and messaging, identifying insight-driven product opportunities, and leading the marketing launch of new B2B products.

Strong communication skills will be important, and this person will be able to confidently share the roadmap to educate and inspire internal and external partners at all levels, including C-suite.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Manage go-to-market strategy for our B2B audiences, which are increasing focus area for the entire business
  • Champion the voice of the customer to prioritize products and solutions to best address our retail partner needs
  • Lead identification of the right segmentation, positioning, messaging, and adoption tactics for new and existing products in the Instacart marketplace and enterprise verticals
  • Create sustainable processes to scale the B2B Marketing team's impact across the company
  • Bring strong, performant product storytelling to life throughout every step of the customer journey
  • Help drive campaigns and product plans in close partnership with Product, Integrated Marketing, Creative, Acquisition, Sales, and Lifecycle leaders to scale our existing products

ABOUT YOU

  • 10-15+ years experience in tech marketing; 6+ of those years in B2B Marketing specifically
  • Has grown incremental revenue through generating inbound traffic and conversion using a mix of paid and earned media placements
  • Ability to define and execute an end-to-end marketing strategy, with strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
  • Experience using insights and strategic thinking to build sales narratives and business cases that influence prospects
  • Strong storyteller with the ability to develop campaigns that get customers' attention and build product brands people and companies love
  • Go-to-market expert who can flawlessly execute launches and drive adoption for digital products and features
  • Data-driven marketer, with ability to drive experimentation plans and optimize ROI
  • Experience managing a team of 15+ people
  • Can drive multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment, balancing people management with hands-on work and personal accountability for key deliverables
  • Preferred Experience & Skills:
    • Experience from eCommerce, digital advertising, or multi-sided marketplaces
    • Experience bringing product marketing to life in the physical world a plus
    • Experience at both large-scale as well as early stage tech companies
    • Expertise in both B2B and B2C marketing
