As a rapidly growing company with offices worldwide, we are looking for a passionate Senior Customer Marketing Manager to join our Reference and Advocacy team. You will hit the ground running to progress existing initiatives to recruit new customer references and align them with activities including keynote speakerships, event related customer participation, webinars, case studies, blogs, PR engagements, videos and more. You will work cross functionally with marketing, sales, product marketing, product management and customer success, to source, secure and create impactful customer stories. At the center of the role is the customer, with whom you will foster meaningful relationships while leading the creation of high impact stories and content that promote their successes using Confluent.

What You'll Do:

    • Develop and recruit references by building and nurturing a continuous pipeline from which to identify, confirm and convert customers into public advocates
    • Create content to showcase our customers' use cases with data in motion and Confluent Cloud as the underpinning to their success
    • Collaborate with sales, marketing, product teams and customer success to create customer evidence such as: case studies, webinars, blogs, podcasts, event speakerships and videos and align customers to key corporate initiatives, programs and activities
    • Manage a reference database to maintain, track and report on customer reference status and activities
    • Support the identification and creation of customer assets in service of key internal enablement and awareness activities such as win wires, all-hands, sales kick off, company kick off and more

What We're Looking For:

    • 5+ years experience in marketing, with 3+ years focused on customer marketing or customer advocacy role and experience in a customer-facing role
    • 3+ years experience in a high growth environment
    • Passionate about working directly with customers to nurture, create and execute on assets that tell their story and promote key business objectives
    • Develop stories in tight connection with the company narrative
    • Proven ability to work cross-functionally including sales, product marketing, product management, partner marketing, customer success and the executive team
    • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Organized and ambitious with ability to prioritize, multitask and organize workload
    • Ability to identify ways to prioritize, create operational efficiencies and scale
    • Strong project management skills
    • Cool under pressure, a team player that also works well independently
    • BA or BS degree
    • Experience with Salesforce, ReferenceEdge, Metabase a plus
