Lithic strives to make payments safer and easier for everyone. We started with a consumer product that helps people spend more safely using virtual payment cards. Then we launched a simple, modern API to make our payment and card issuing infrastructure available to other startups, fintechs, and brands. Today, that infrastructure powers hundreds of millions of dollars in payments for consumers and some of the most innovative companies in the world.

We are looking for our first Product Marketing leader to create powerful and compelling messaging, content, and collateral for both business and technical audiences. You will engage cross-functionally with our sales, product, engineering, and design teams to help design, plan, and execute the go-to-market strategy that drives measurable success. This role will also be responsible for ensuring the Lithic sales team and partners are enabled to deliver a consistently powerful message to the market.

You're an experienced product marketer ready to take on a challenge. You can translate technical capabilities into simple, compelling, differentiated messages. You're a self-starter who can excel in a fast-paced environment. You're collaborative and comfortable working cross-functionally. You're strategic and hands-on, and you're experienced at presenting to both technical and business decision makers.

As part of your candidacy, you will need to provide examples of your long and short form articles, reports, and documents.

Job responsibilities

  • Create compelling positioning, benefits, differentiation, and use cases that demonstrate a clear understanding of the target customer and the core capabilities of the offering.
  • Develop content including collateral, thought leadership and solution presentations, website content, videos, blogs, by-lined articles and more to execute communication strategies and accelerate the buyer's journey.
  • Act as the glue between our product and our sales teams to create successful product launches, training, tools, and initiatives.
  • Assist with the planning and launch of new offerings, capabilities, and releases and participate in managing the cross-functional implementation of those plans.
  • Stay current on industry news and events, industry analyst reports and social activity. Leverage these to educate key constituents and to drive awareness and demand generation.
  • Review competitive offerings and drive ongoing differentiation.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of product marketing experience
  • Strong writing, content development and presentation skills
  • Passionate about creating high quality content and measuring its effectiveness, and great at collaborating with design and writing teams to get things done
  • Structured and able to define, build, execute, evaluate, and evolve the product marketing function
  • Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and have a proven track record of successful product launches, initiatives/programs
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams, executives and third parties
  • Experience working in a high tech, start-up, and/or rapid growth company
  • Passionate about fintech and the continuous learning that comes as part of this extremely dynamic and emerging field

Bonus points:

  • Experience in fintech, financial services, or APIs a plus
