The Global Brand Design team is the creative nucleus for the GTM organization. We define the brand vision: how the brand should look, sound, and feel. We build tools for other teams to bring this vision to life. We engage deeply with our colleagues to ensure that the tools are useful and being used.

Sonos continues to expand into new spaces while designing and refining key experiences that touch customers, partners, and internal teams. To support our ambition while maintaining our premium brand positioning with quality creative, we need a Junior Copywriter who will support messaging frameworks and guidance. In this role, you will support the creation of marketing and brand communications across the organization (e.g. emails, in-app messages, social media posts, podcast scripts, etc.) and help translate guidelines into functional assets.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to craft copy for our website, emails, owned social channels, retail signage, and more, ensuring all legal considerations are followed.
  • Assist the Senior Copywriters in maintaining an internal style guide, planning content, and developing messaging frameworks for campaigns and products.
  • Partner closely with the Junior Digital Designer to fulfill requests for website and email copy.
  • Pitch and help execute content ideas for social media and emails.
  • Faithfully follow our internal style guide and ensure others do the same.
  • Edit press releases, creative directives, job descriptions, quarterly earnings reports, and more.
  • Assist in the creation of decks, honing your presentation skills.
  • Participate in discussions and work to help define the Sonos brand.
  • Proofread. And proofread again. Then proofread one more time just to be sure.

What You'll Need

Basic Qualifications:

  • Command of the English language, a keen eye for typos, and passion for storytelling
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, such as English, Communications, or Marketing, or commensurate experience
  • 1+ year of experience in a writing field
  • Familiarity with various social media platforms and SEO principles
  • Appetite to engage with the tools needed to get the job done, including Figma, Google Sheets, Slack, and Zoom
