What can you tell your friends when they ask you what you do?

I manage marketing campaigns and define effective marketing strategies & tactics to drive demand across the globe with the top companies in the mobile app market. I work closely with Sales, and other marketing leaders to execute demand generation, account based marketing, digital marketing, customer marketing and other effective marketing programs that generate engagement. Our marketing department’s obsession is “pipeline,” and I bring positive energy to the team!

You will be responsible for and take pride in….

App Annie is looking for a creative, process focussed, and innovative Demand Generation Manager to join us. You will be part of the Global Marketing team, and wear our Customer Obsession hat with pride and are responsible for creating high quality campaigns that drive new pipeline growth in our go-to-market motion.

  • Using demand generation, ABM, and best practices for marketing campaigns to outline creative marketing strategies and build repeatable marketing processes that scale results
  • Build creative, integrated marketing & sales campaigns and supervise the launch, using continuous monitoring and measurement for ongoing optimization
  • Drive the development of creative concepts for all demand gen campaigns that will resonate with our market and drive engagement with key verticals / personas
  • Organize all components of marketing campaigns including working on and proofreading marketing copy, creative design themes, system configuration, reporting on results, and collaborating with and providing direction to agencies, designers, copywriters, contractors, coworkers, marketing ops, etc. to create effective campaigns
  • Compile data of campaign performance and driver the results and strategic learnings in a compelling way internally to show what worked and how we can improve new campaigns in the future
  • Collaborate with marketing stakeholders to develop campaign concepts, digital marketing planning, content strategy, creative strategies, and more to support our wider demand gen and ABM plans
  • Configure key technology needed for multi-channel campaigns, including Marketo, direct mail, digital marketing & events, etc.
  • Develop, implement, and execute marketing plans and acceleration programs for specific, targeted accounts
  • Work closely with sales leadership and sales reps to align on key accounts and activities
  • Collect qualitative and quantitative market research on key market segments to help App Annie generate thought leadership and gain new customers
  • Work closely with Sales to map and identify key persona in the buying process to develop marketing plan accordingly
  • Leverage existing content, while developing the new strategic content required for effective market engagement
  • Define activities, KPIs, and own the measurement and performance analysis process

You should recognize yourself in the following…

  • You have 5 years+ of corporate marketing experience in a B2B software environment, as well as agency experience, preferably in a role responsible for launching creative demand gen campaigns
  • Strong track record of driving successful multi-channel marketing campaigns that use online and offline tactics and generate measurable results & pipeline
  • Creative experience is preferred, including working with or managing copywriters and/or designers to develop killer marketing campaigns & materials
  • Comfortable working in various martech tools such as Marketo, Salesforce, Sendoso, 6sense, etc. and comfortable getting hands-on with HTML and CSS when needed 100% demand gen awareness: You are always on the watch for new innovative marketing tactics and creative ideas to improve our reach and drive more effective engagement
  • Experience launching account-based marketing (ABM) campaigns and knowledge of best practices for effective ABM
  • Have a balance of strategic thinking, project management, creative thinking, quality execution, and analytical skills to manage cross-functional teams across different geos
  • Experience working closely with and enabling Sales, including developing sales materials to help reps effectively engage the market
  • You are analytical, with a strong attention to detail and able to use data and visuals to tell stories in a compelling way
  • Direct customer-facing experience and the ability to engage with customers and gain a deep understanding of the market
  • You are highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to drive consensus and articulate program recommendations to senior executives
  • A self-starter with ability to learn quickly, thrive under pressure in a fast-paced and shifting environment
  • Background in creating new marketing content and launching new website or landing pages
  • Experience with direct mail strategy and managing direct mail production is a plus
  • Creative experience and proficiency with design tools like Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be proficient with building internal and external facing slide decks and presentations that help tell effective stories
  • BA/BS or equivalent
