We're looking for a passionate Senior Community Manager who serves as our liaison between our growing audience and the many narratives happening in the rapidly changing AI/ML space. Ideally, you're overly curious about AI and have experience leading a thriving technology-focused community.

At the heart of what you would do is connect the broader machine learning and AI community with AI Exchange. This role's objectives and key results will align with the following growth flywheel:

You will:

  • Grow - Help grow our community to 60,000 visitors per month, including doubling our member base.
  • Activate - Grow our monthly active member engagement to 30% on average. Keep members and visitors coming back through high-quality content and experiences
  • Engage - Execute weekly community events and get members to participate and attend meaningfully
  • Contribute - Build a contributor network of high-quality speakers and writers
  • Promote - Turn members and contributors into promoters, fueling word-of-mouth
  • Lead Recruiting for Experiences & Events
  • Build a network of experts and thought-leaders in AI and regularly recruit to speak and share unique knowledge with the AI Exchange community
  • Own the recruitment and management of the pipeline for speakers and contributors that support our active field marketing and events calendar
  • Support in-person practitioner meet-ups, events, and activations to help build local communities
  • Help activate our internal subject-matter experts via talks, industry events, conferences, and contributed content
  • Own community-led talks and tracks for our annual conference,TransformX

Community - community engagement

  • Develop and refine the community strategy to scale up the Exchange online community and provide value to members
  • Keep the community thriving and engaged by planning, creating, sourcing, and sharing content, resources, and discussion topics
  • Work closely with the growth marketing team to manage ongoing member recruitment and engagement campaigns
  • Recruit and coordinate a team of community moderators and manage the operations and processes associated with the community
  • Build partnerships with other organizations to build a robust ecosystem that supports our long-term vision
  • Content & Education - Help build the best engine for high-quality AI/ML content
  • Work closely with the editorial lead to manage a regular cadence of content so that our community not only covers but ideally furthers the industry discussion around all significant trends and developing technologies
  • Help recruit a contributor network of writers, editors, experts, and thought leaders
  • Coordinate social media and overall distribution/amplification strategy for our content

Ideally you'd have:

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Journalism, English, Marketing or Communications, or computer sciences degree with strong writing samples
  • Minimum 5-7 years in a community management role
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting high-quality contributors and speakers for a variety of content engagements, including in-person and virtual events
  • 3-5 years of work experience developing and leading a community content calendar
  • Proven editorial skills with impeccable command of the English language
  • Digital-savvy with a deep understanding of digital and content marketing trends
  • Proven record growing traffic and/or online communities
  • Expertise in digital, SEO, social media, and building contributor networks
