Superconductive's mission is to revolutionize the speed and integrity of data collaboration. We are the team behind Great Expectations, the leading open source tool for data testing, documentation, and profiling. Data teams all over the world use Great Expectations to instrument and understand their data and machine learning infrastructure and systems.

Reporting to the CEO, the Brand & Marketing Manager will help establish the brand and marketing strategy for Great Expectations. We are looking for a creative thinker with innovative ideas for marketing and branding that align with the strategy, commitments, and goals of Superconductive. This is a true startup role that offers the opportunity for the right candidate to be entrepreneurial, helping to shape marketing content that creates a broad awareness of Great Expectations' mission and value proposition in order to generate tailwinds for sales, hiring, partnerships and beyond.

Brand Awareness

  • Promote brand-focused interactive and engaging content
  • Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all channels of content including online, social media, email, mobile, and video
  • Enhance the Great Expectations brand identity by ensuring consistency of voice and experience through all communications channels
  • Help bring Great Expectations' Employee Value Proposition to life by building experiences and messaging that meets employees where they are, attracts top talent and highlights the Superconductive brand

Strategy

  • Support the development of the brand and marketing roadmap; help determine prioritization of projects
  • Map out a content strategy that supports and extends marketing initiatives, both short - and long-term, determining which methods work for the brand and why
  • Focus on creating and/or identifying content to share and promote through Superconductive's various digital platforms across the business lines
  • Work with internal teams and external vendors to successfully execute various marketing tactics
  • Support current and long-term corporate and brand objectives through media relations outreach efforts that generate interest in the company and our product
  • Understand the nuances of different social media platforms and know how to adjust messaging and visuals accordingly
  • Own Superconductive's social media strategy and execution
  • Support ad-hoc marketing and training initiatives and ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Evaluate opportunities to refine company value proposition

Project Management

  • Oversee execution of all marketing content initiatives, both internal and external, across multiple platforms and formats to drive engagement, retention, acquisition of new clients, and overall client behavior.
  • Develop effective creative briefs, and review creative deliverables to ensure that they are delivering on messaging objectives and brand strategy; oversee, report on, and track analytics and metrics for all content
  • Manage strategic marketing endeavors, budgeting, and tactical planning projects as assigned ensuring smooth and effective workflows and meeting established deadlines
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external agencies to develop corporate social content that engages employees and supports awareness, perception, and recruitment efforts
  • Develop project timelines and production calendars based on strategic prioritization, planning and resource utilization
  • Drive the development of internal programming and documentation, including developing slides and other collateral for internal presentations and help to ensure internal stakeholders have up-to-date access to brand appropriate, ready-to-use content/presentations

Job requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in brand management, corporate marketing, communications, public relations; employer branding experience preferred
  • Finely-honed writing and communications skills and ability to incorporate constructive feedback
  • Fluency in social media best practices, content creation methods, media engagement and buzz building
  • Highly collaborative, organized, and agile
  • Ability to assess and manage risks, understand and communicate trade-offs, and manage multiple end-to end creative workflows
  • Strong background in leading creative processes and experience in concepting, production and delivery
  • You understand brand identity and brand measurement concepts, and can articulate, build on, and action them
  • A creative thinker who thrives in a work environment that encourages innovation in content creation and methods, that would increase new connections to our brand

Stand Out Attributes

  • Experience in a startup environment, where systems are not all in place and built as needed
  • Experience working for a Saas or open source company
  • Experience as a People Manager
  • Prior background managing a company's social media presence
  • Proven work experience with Wordpress or other CMS
  • Knowledge of standard and current SEO best practices
  • Knowledge of or photo shoot details and production timelines
  • GTM experience
  • Knowledge of Adobe design including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
