An instrumental part of GOAT Group, the Marketing team oversees a wide range of activities, which aim to build awareness, consideration and loyalty for our brands. As a member of this team, you will work to execute thoughtful, data-driven marketing campaigns that drive meaningful growth for the company.

We are looking for an Associate Director of Performance Marketing to help grow GOAT Group's user base through paid marketing. As a member of the growth team, you must be highly data-driven, process-driven, and have strong expertise in growth through performance marketing. Within the GOAT Group brands, you will be responsible for the overall performance marketing strategy for GOAT, Flight Club, and alias.

As a marketplace, the core objective of the role is to grow buyers and sellers through meticulous management of the performance marketing budget and strategies. You will be collaborating across the Growth team (Performance Marketing, CRM, SEO, and Growth Analytics), Product, Brand, and Finance to understand the economics of our business and how to build sustainable growth strategies through paid and organic marketing.

Your core advertising strategies will be app + web marketing through paid social and search. You will manage a team of Performance Marketers to help strategize + execute your strategies while having dedicated Growth Marketing Analysts to support your analytics and data visualization needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong marketing and economics background as the role's core will be conceptualizing paid marketing strategies and measuring the financial performance of these marketing investments for our core objectives. The candidate must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment. GOAT Group has grown tremendously year over year and we're looking for someone to continue that growth with us.

Here's what you will do:

  • Google Search / Shopping: Partner with the Director of Growth to manage our paid search strategy and operations with the support of our PPC Manager.
  • Paid Social: Strategize and lead our paid social team to manage and optimize our paid social channels (Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, and more) to increase performance across acquisition and retention.
  • Brand Marketing: Run brand lift studies and provide actionable insights for the greater marketing team on the efforts of our brand marketing.
  • Alias & Seller Acquisition: Work closely with the alias team to develop growth strategies for our dedicated seller app - alias. As a two-sided marketplace, supply is key to demand-side growth in International markets and your role will be to strategize + execute across both buyer and seller marketing.
  • AB Testing: Own and refine our AB testing strategy to provide a feedback loop to our Brand team and strategically plan out new assets as part of the AB testing framework.
  • Project Management: Manage our sprints and quarterly roadmap to execute on OKRs and company/team-specific projects via our project management software, Asana.
  • Affiliate Marketing: Lead our Affiliate Marketing team to grow our affiliate program. Core duties include recruiting strategy, performance analytics, and strategic promotions for key partners.
  • International Marketing: Lead our international marketing strategy and collaborate with our international stakeholders to plan and execute them for key global markets.
  • Reporting: Closely monitor, measure, and report on campaign performance, and conduct ad hoc analyses.
  • Finance: Support the Director of Growth by managing the performance marketing budget, analyzing/reporting on marketing KPIs, and setting forecasts/expectations for sustainable growth.
  • Analytics: Partner with Growth Analytics to fully understand the customer journey and create strategies to improve customer lifetime value.

Here's what you should have:

  • BA/BS degree in business, marketing, economics, finance, or equivalent hands-on experience considered.
  • 6-8+ years of experience in relevant fields (growth, performance and/or digital marketing, finance, economics).
  • Strong excel and analytical skills - must be able to interpret raw data into meaningful insights and KPIs.
  • Mastery of the economics of performance marketing.
  • Exceptional project management experience; agile marketing is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interface effectively with stakeholders.
  • E-commerce and/or marketplace experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in SQL is a plus.
