The Privacy and Data Ethics Organization under Plaid's Chief Privacy Officer is looking for a Privacy Governance Lead to help us design, build and implement and operate scalable privacy and data ethics programs that help ensure Plaid adopts and consistently leverages privacy and data ethics best practices in alignment with our values while enabling growth. In this position, you will work cross-functionally with members of the EPDS operations, security engineering, security compliance, and privacy legal teams to translate legal privacy obligations and privacy principles into operational practice, along the way identifying and aligning cross-functional priorities to help devise the right operational privacy and data ethics solution for our business. Responsibilities:

  • Operating and iterating on privacy by design and default programs in coordination with EPDS operations and other business functions
  • Conducting privacy impact assessments and iterating on the privacy impact assessment process
  • Provide operational privacy and data ethics guidance and support to the business
  • Managing records of processing activity
  • Working closely with the Chief Privacy Officer to develop and execute against the privacy and data ethics roadmap
  • You will work cross-functionally with members of our security engineering, security compliance, EPDS operations, product, engineering and legal teams to translate legal privacy obligations and privacy principles to design, build, operate and iterate on privacy and data ethics programs, such as privacy by design and default, privacy impact assessments, and AI/ML data ethics
  • You will help prioritize, and direct resources in relation to, privacy and data ethics operational efforts in support of the business's overall roadmap and aspirations
  • You will help identify privacy and data ethics risks and opportunities for the business, and drive efforts to address them

What Excites Us:

  • 8+ years of privacy program management experience, some of which was at a high-growth tech company (or 3+ years of privacy program management experience, along with 5+ years of experience in a related field, with some time spent at a high-growth tech company)
  • Demonstrated cross-functional program management skills
  • Experience working with multiple global privacy frameworks
  • Experience designing and/or operating privacy by design and default programs, privacy impact assessment programs, and managing records of processing activity
  • Experience evaluating and implementing privacy technology tools
