Legal Operations Analyst

Discord is seeking a Legal Operations Analyst to join our growing Legal Operations team. As a Legal Operations Analyst, you'll manage Discord's responses to privacy-related inquiries and requests. You'll also improve privacy processes and policies while working closely with cross functional partners.

The Legal Operations team currently manages law enforcement, intellectual property, privacy, civil legal process, and exigent data requests. Reporting to our Senior Manager of Legal Operations, you'll contribute to the team's core work by overseeing privacy-related operations and assisting in other key areas as well. You will have the opportunity to create documentation and best practices, and be involved in high impact work streams.

What you'll be doing

• Review, track, and respond to privacy-related inquiries and requests
• Help resolve high priority escalations through multiple channels
• Identify inefficiencies and opportunities to improve privacy operation workflows
• Organize and surface valuable feedback on different programs and teams
• Work closely with cross functional partners to support team projects and goals
• Support the Legal Operations team as needed across other work streams
• Occasionally participate in exigent on-call rotation

What you should have

• Previous experience working in privacy operations or similar legal operations functions
• Willingness to learn multiple sets of policies/processes and adapt quickly to change
• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to identify workflow improvements
• Experience working on cross-functional projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Bonus Points

• Experience working with Zendesk
• Familiar with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy laws
• IAPP Certification
• New York City residents only: Minimum salary of $78,000/year + equity and benefits
