Peacebuilding Programme Manager

Concordis seeks an experienced Programme Manager to oversee our peacebuilding work in Mauritania, West Africa, and to develop new programmes in the region.

Theoretically based in London, you could work remotely from anywhere in the world, but with extensive travel in Mauritania and a number of other African countries for up to two months at a time.

The successful candidate will be responsible for programme delivery, including managing staff teams, overseeing financial accountability, writing donor reports, training civil society actors, facilitating workshops and intercommunity dialogue, advocating programme outcomes to policy makers, and recruiting new donors.

Applicants will only be considered if they have professional level French, English and, ideally, Arabic, and have significant experience of managing peacebuilding interventions in complex environments, preferably in the Sahel region.

Duration: Permanent and full time, subject to a probationary period.

Reporting to: Director of Programmes, based in the UK

Hours: Full time. Official working hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm, however this is a professional role that requires flexibility, commitment and willingness and ability to work longer hours when necessary.

Salary: ?41,000 to ?45,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.
