SUMMARY: This position is responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of talent learning and development programs and activities that build and strengthen capacity of staff and maximize organizational ability. Manages the overall strategy to support talent learning and development initiatives. Recommends guidelines for professional development at the and provides guidance on engaging and meaningful learning activities to employees and management.

General information

  • This position is a salaried, exempt and full-time role.
  • This position is remote (within USA), with option to work from any of Newfront's office locations. #LI-Remote
  • This position will report to: Sr. Director of People & Diversity Operations.

What you'll be doing

  • Performs annual training and development needs assessment. Develops and articulates annual goals and strategy based on needs assessments. Creates and manages training work plans.
  • Partners with IT, practice and team leads to identify training and development needs required for organizational performance and growth. Works closely with various practice groups to understand ongoing needs for employee learning and development.
  • Responsible for building a Newfront Academy including curriculum development and coordination, facilitation of classes, and overseeing the administration of learning assessments and tools.
  • Design and manage team of training and development professionals to assist in Newfront's training and development strategy.
  • Works with internal subject matter experts to design and develop learning content.
  • Develop standards, objectives, and measurement tools to ensure appropriate impact and effectiveness of training programs and materials.
  • Manages scheduling and logistics for training and development activities.
  • Develops and implements methods for evaluating training effectiveness.
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining technology-based content, including the online, web-based training and other e-learning programs.
  • Plan, develop and provide training and staff development programs using knowledge of the effective of methods such as classroom training, online and web based training, on the job training, conferences, and workshops. determine effective delivery methods, and develop content.
  • Manages vendor relationships and the work of multiple vendors as needed.

Education and experience

  • Minimum of 6 years of related work experience; insurance and/or benefits industry or brokerage experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of area knowledge and the ability to analyze data.
