Reddit is looking for an experienced Sr Payroll Manager who can fully manage payroll for our rapidly growing company. This role will report to Head of Global Payroll and will collaborate with cross functional partners. In addition, as a subject matter expert, the Sr Global Payroll Manager is also expected to work on new payroll initiatives such as system implementations and utilize our systems to scale payroll processes.

Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage payroll processing for 2,000 employees located throughout the US, EMEA and APAC regions in a high growth distributed workforce. Provide guidance and leadership to the payroll team.
• Audit and review US bi-weekly payroll processes utilizing Workday
• Manage global equity processing in all regions
• Oversee system and process improvements within Workday by partnering closely with People Operations and other teams to ensure full system utilization and establish best practices
• Provide guidance in managing US third party fulfillment vendor to ensure tax compliance and funds reconciliation
• Assist with Payroll implementation and automation projects including a forthcoming Global Payroll solution
• Execute special projects cross functionally that support the growth of the business, such as Workday enhancements, system integrations, international growth, and M&A
• Coach, mentor, and develop the payroll team to ensure operational excellence and team member engagement while working cross-functionally with finance, People Teams, and business leadership to ensure operational alignment
• Develop and maintain payroll policies, processes, procedures and related internal controls to ensure compliance, efficiency, and standardization globally
• Ensure global regulatory filings are completed timely and accurately; support and coordinate audits such as worker compensation, 401K and annual financial audit, as necessary

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in payroll
• 10+ years' experience in progressive payroll positions in high-growth, public and multinational companies
• Experience working in a publicly traded, high-tech, high-growth company where equity compensation (i.e., RSU, stock options and ESPP programs) is common
• Extensive proficiency with Workday Payroll, including reporting, system configuration and enhancements
• Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency using Excel or Google Sheets
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
• Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion as it relates to confidential and sensitive company and employee data
• Able to operate in a fast paced, hyper growth environment by managing priorities and concentrating on accuracy
• Proactive in leading process improvements with the ability to take initiative to solve problems

In addition to base salary, this job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units, and depending on the position offered, it may also be eligible to receive a commission. We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function, level, and country location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including, skills, depth of work experience and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below.

The base pay range for this position is: $169,900 - $254,900.
