Our People team supports over 8700 team members in over 40 different countries. Grafana Labs is scaling at a rapid pace and we're evolving our team, our processes and the support that we offer to the business at a fast pace. We're looking for an exceptional People Ops Specialist to support our international team. You will need to thrive in a fast-paced environment, be able to manage through ambiguity, change and complexity, while supporting the impact to a global organisation. This role requires a subject matter expert with excellent technical attention to detail, strong organisational and project management skills and a "move fast to make it real" mindset.

The People Ops Specialist will play an integral role in project management including project design and delivery; process optimisation; compliance and training for the implementation of our new HCM. The People Ops Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring we have robust processes and training in place to support team growth and a successful implementation. Some international travel to work co-located with colleagues will be required (subject to the lifting of current travel restrictions)

Key responsibilities

  • Design and own the HCM People project plan and ensure key milestones are identified and communicated to key stakeholders, partnering with the finance and IT
  • Collaborate with the wider People team as required to deliver against the agreed project priorities
  • You will be the subject matter expert providing training and technical HR support and expertise across the HCM project to ensure consistency of application during and post-delivery
  • Produce People team and business guides and documentation covering key processes, policies and projects
  • You will work with your reports to set milestones, clearly communicate delivery timelines and help remove roadblocks, providing training and support as needed
  • The HCM roll-out will be for the following functionalities:
    • Core HR
    • Onboarding
    • Performance & Talent Management
    • Compensation Planning
    • Hires & Terminations
    • Time and Attendance Management
    • Benefits

What will you bring to the role?

  • Previous experience supporting a Workday implementation is essential.
  • Ideally you'll have experience in a high-growth startup environment with constant change as your companion; you will also have experience partnering with an international senior management team
  • You will enjoy wearing many hats and are able to be both a strategic partner as well as tactical and hands on
  • You will be highly organized, with incredibly strong project management skills. You will need to be detail oriented, love multi-tasking and have excellent follow through skills
  • You appreciate working independently, often working through competing priorities and be able to use your initiative and creative problem solving skills to confidently manage decision-making independently
  • Ideally you will have experience of working remotely and/or internationally coordinating with peers and team members globally and understand the challenges and opportunities of remote working and remote communication - you will need to be an excellent communicator in all channels (in person, online, in writing) and able to form strong working relationships both in person and virtually
  • You will be highly approachable while successfully being able to provide a customer service approach to your role ensuring that everyone, locally and internationally, views you as a "go to" person
  • You will be process oriented and enjoy creating process and structure where there may be ambiguity and be skilled at finding creative solutions to non-obvious problems
  • You will also be in the detail and happy to own your administrative task through to completion, mentoring junior members of the team.
