THE ROLE
Outer is looking for an entry-level Recruitment Coordinator to help us continue to hire great people! As one of the first members of the Talent Team, you will have a chance to make a direct impact on building a world-class recruitment process and outstanding candidate experience. Reporting to the Talent Manager, you will help facilitate efficiency and accuracy throughout the entire recruitment funnel, from requisition to offer.

Given the stage of Outer and the ever-evolving business strategy and needs of the company, this role will change over time. New and exciting opportunities arise every day and we are looking for candidates who will embrace and be motivated by that flexibility.

This is a remote, 6-month contract with the potential to turn into a full-time position.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

    • Engage candidates throughout the entire hiring process and frequently follow up to ensure high levels of conversion throughout the recruiting funnel
    • Move candidates between stages, compile funnel reports for executives and ensure Lever best practices
    • Conduct application review for high-volume roles
    • Draft offer letters and 1099 contract agreements
    • Help build and iterate on a recruitment strategy that is focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion
    • Partner with the People Team to help facilitate a successful onboarding experience
    • Own and work on miscellaneous projects and programs to continually improve our hiring processes and systems

WHAT YOU'LL BRING ON DAY 1

    • Minimum 1+ years of experience as a Recruiting Coordinator in a high-growth company (in-house or agency), or similar coordination support role
    • Knowledge of recruitment and inclusion best practices
    • Experience working with Lever or other applicant tracking system
    • The ability to handle 6 + active roles across various departments at any given time
    • Possess superior organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
    • Accuracy with data tracking, email and offer templates, and scheduling
    • High level of empathy and service-oriented focus to elevate candidate experience
    • High degree of confidentiality

Outer started by creating the perfect outdoor sofa: beautiful, durable, comfortable, and innovative. We also invented a new model for retail because we believe that the furniture buying experience can be much better than stale, traditional showrooms with four walls, fluorescent lighting, and pushy salespeople. Our Neighborhood Showroom platform turns our customers' backyards into our physical showrooms where our customers can see, touch, and feel our products in a real backyard alongside a real customer (think: Airbnb meets retail).
