Founded in 2016 by Jean-Charles Samuelian and Charles Gorintin, Alan is the first independent digital health insurance in France since 1986.

By providing our members with delightful health insurance bundled with innovative healthcare services, Alan's long-term goal is to help all people have a personalised and accessible healthcare experience.

As of today, Alan covers more than 200,000 members, representing over ?100m of annualised revenue. We recently raised a further ?185m in a series D funding round bringing the company's total valuation to ?1.4bn. The team is 400+ people and growing. The mission

We are growing at an extraordinarily fast pace, onboarding a lot of new people in different countries.

The People Lead will be the architect and steward of the most delightful employee experience, while addressing the standard Employee relations challenges a company our size/growth pace need to tackle.

Your mission will be to:

  • Lead the People team and ensure its scalability at our growth pace and act as an inspiring leader to People teams in Spain, Belgium and other countries to drive a consistent Alaner-life experience cycle.
  • Provides critical input to the design, consistent application, and edition of policies as Alan continues to scale.
  • Create conditions for Alaners to buy in and implement a wide range of practices including recruiting, coaching, sharing direct and public feedback, performance management and compensation.
  • Provides project management expertise while implementing new policies, programs, systems or regulations.
  • Own our Employee relations strategy for France: mainly, how do we comply with labour regulations without hampering our culture?
  • Own the management of our Staff Representative bodies, the Alan way.
  • Plan, lead & organize Staff representative elections.
  • Partner with Legal and the Corporate Team to ensure compliance with policies, practices and applicable employment legislation at our growth pace;
  • Responds to and directly manages highly sensitive investigations on personal cases, summarizes findings, and provides recommended resolutions.
