SUMMARY: This position is responsible for internal, administrative, and general support for the OH&S Workers' Compensation Claims team.

General information

  • This position is an hourly, non-exempt and full-time role.
  • This position may be remote and/or can work from any of Newfront's office locations. #LI-Remote
  • This position will report to: AVP Director of Workers Compensation Claims or OH&S Claims Consultant.

What you'll be doing

  • Obtain client information from Newfront account teams to create client account profiles and accurately input workers' compensation program details into Newfront systems.
  • Monitor and manage claims queue, triaging requests and providing guidance as appropriate.
  • Maintain and update various online data management systems: Salesforce, DASH, ImageRight, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, Excel, GSheets, Client Portal.
  • Independently manage multiple tasks and complete service activities as delegated to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Work with external carrier partners to gather workers' compensation loss data and relevant information to prepare claim review materials for the Claims Consultant.
  • Quality Control of all documents, reports and claim review data.
  • Establish relationships with multiple carriers and internal account teams.
  • Obtain, distribute, and maintain all workers' compensation loss runs for account teams and external clients.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings (claim reviews, stewardship, etc.) with the client and carrier on behalf of the Claims Consultant based on the service schedule.
  • Perform other duties and assist with special projects as assigned.

  • Solid communication skills: written, public speaking and presentation preparation.
  • Excellent customer service skills, professionalism and tact.
  • Knowledge and use of standard features of Microsoft Office and Google Office Suite.
  • Ability to ask questions and use resources and tools.
  • Works well with others in a fast-paced environment and be responsive to co-workers and colleagues. Must also work independently, with minimal direction.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to respond to client and team needs.
  • Solid time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities and high volumes.
  • Ability to learn and adopt use of technology systems and software applications.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to screen details and identify potential discrepancies.
  • Ability to review internal/carrier deliverables to ensure accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain project plans and meet project deadlines.
  • Ability to forge relationships and build trust with clients and carriers.
  • Strong sense of curiosity and willingness to learn industry knowledge and trends.

Education and experience

  • High School Education required.
  • 2-3 years of administrative support experience.
  • Property and Casualty insurance experience preferred.
