At Plaid, our mission is to unlock financial freedom for everyone. There has never been a better time than now to start building the future of fintech with us. Plaid powers the tools millions of people rely on to live a healthier financial life. We work with thousands of companies like Venmo and SoFi, several of the Fortune 500, and many of the largest banks to make it easy for people to connect their financial accounts to the apps and services they want to use. Plaid's network covers 11,000 financial institutions across the US, Canada, UK and Europe. Founded in 2013, the company is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York, Salt Lake City, Washington D.C., London and Amsterdam.

Plaid is looking for a strategic and experienced HRBP to partner with Plaid's business teams (Ops, Legal, Policy, Risk, Privacy, Finance/Accounting, and Financial Access) as we enter our next phase of growth. You'll be a strong partner to People teams in establishing how to best partner, define and implement people strategies. You'll also encourage your client groups to take on a forward-looking model as we scale over the next few years. This is an opportunity to make a huge impact throughout Plaid and grow as a leader in the People space.

What Excites You:

  • Providing strategic partnership and counsel to business leaders at Plaid.
  • Partnering with leaders on strategically building out new and/or rapidly growing teams.
  • Collaborating with People teams to design and implement programs across the Legal, Ops & Financial Access orgs.
  • Coaching and developing leaders at all levels within the organization.
  • Utilizing data and analytics to inform key business decisions.
  • Identifying development, performance, and retention needs and implementing solutions.
  • Mentoring and coaching other members of the People team and eventually scaling the HRBP team.

What Excites Us:

  • Minimum of 5 years as an HR Business Partner within a high-growth environment.
  • Track record of success partnering with senior leaders within the business.
  • Strong experience with organizational scaling and design.
  • Ability to drive people programs: performance management, calibrations, compensation planning, executive coaching, employee relations, organizational design, etc.
  • Additional experience within other areas of HR is a strong plus (L&D, Compensation, Ops).
  • Experience issue spotting and proactively advising on potential solutions with minimal oversight.
  • Analytically driven; experience in utilizing qualitative and quantitative approaches to root cause analysis.
  • A team player; low ego and highly collaborative.
  • Experience partnering with leaders in Legal, Risk, or Compliance organizations is a strong plus.
