COJK is seeking qualified candidates to fill a full-time HR/Administrative Assistant position. This position is located in WA state and is primarily remote, however, the position will need to come into the office occasionally.

Qualified Human Resources /Administrative Assistant candidates will have at least one year of human resources (HR)-related experience and possess strong administrative and communication skills. The candidate must be reliable and should accurately follow instructions with the ability to multitask and acclimatize in a fast-paced environment. Top candidates will be superb at problem-solving, with superior organizational and time management skills. This position requires the ability to work with and respect confidential matters. The HR/Administrative Assistant will report to the HR Manager and the Chief Operations Officer (COO).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain digital and electronic records of employees, while adhering to privacy rules and regulations
  • Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks, and other tasks of the recruitment and onboarding process
  • Enter benefit information of new employees
  • Schedule meetings, interviews, and HR-related programs, as well as other firm-related events as hosted by the firm's internal Fun Committee
  • Prepare and maintain meeting agendas
  • Coordinate training sessions and seminars
  • Produce HR and administrative reports
  • Utilize firm payroll system (ADP; training provided)
  • Coordinate termination paperwork and the exit interviews
  • Provide word processing services: document preparation, editing, proofing, and formatting
  • Assist COO with day-to-day administrative duties, insurance renewals, executive reporting, and the performance evaluation process with attorneys
  • Manage CLE process for attorneys
  • Interact with various law school contacts for on campus interview scheduling and related needs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related preferred, but not necessary
  • At least one year experience as an HR assistant, or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Understanding of HR functions and best practices
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office, MS Teams, and related business and communication tools
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Willingness to be flexible while adhering to firm procedures and standards
