About the Role:

Confluent is looking for a Compensation Business Partner to help build and deploy innovative, scalable, and value-added compensation programs to support a hyper growth technology organization. Reporting to the VP, Total Rewards, you will support the administration of compensation programs, providing consultation and advice, as well as ensure effective deployment of programs and processes globally and at the local level. You will provide compensation insights to support the business and participate in other cross functional projects, while ensuring compliance with local laws and governance processes.

What You'll Do:

  • Act as trusted advisor to People Business & Talent Acquisition Partners and business groups, providing recommendations on compensation matters that support of business goals and ensure market competitiveness regarding application of compensation policies, practices, and guidelines
  • Perform various research and analyses to determine market competitiveness of compensation programs or to ensure compliance with current legal regulations
  • Develop insights to analyze effectiveness of compensation programs
  • Conduct job evaluations, job leveling, and provide salary recommendations ensuring internal equity and market alignment of total compensation
  • Drive key areas of compensation review process in Workday
  • Build and maintain job family structures and details for all employee positions, including job code creating and cleanup and data requests from clients
  • Manage the compensation survey submission process
  • Manage compliance with applicable regulatory requirements regarding employee pay while staying up to date on current related legislation
  • Document business processes to streamline processes for the compensation team
  • Participate in other Total Rewards projects and initiatives

What We're Looking For:

  • 8+ years of direct work experience in global compensation
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret data and gain key insights
  • Strong process management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Customer and business focused in everything that you do
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Ba/BS Degree in related field, Master's Degree preferred

What Gives You an Edge:

  • Experience in a software development company operating in a SaaS business model
  • Combination of high-growth private and public company backgrounds desired
  • Experience working in a global business environment, particularly in EMEA and APAC regions
  • Proficiency in Workday
