Remote job description

1stDibs is a one-of-a-kind online marketplace that connects design lovers to more than one million extraordinary pieces, from furniture and fine art to jewelry and fashion. As a leading global marketplace for design lovers, we enable shoppers to discover beautiful things and interact with top sellers from around the world and our team shares that passion. Our best-in-class platform allows shoppers to buy directly, negotiate a price, or bid on items at auction and enables them to interact with sellers throughout all stages of the transaction - including item inquiries, price negotiations, and customization requests.

Despite the pandemic, the 1stDibs 2021 was a banner year topped off by its IPO debut on June 10, which reaped approximately $117.5 million in net proceeds before its closure. With that momentum, 1stDibs has set its sights on continued growth, mainly through mergers and acquisitions-a road the company started down with the acquisition of the software company Design Manager in 2019. Internally, the focus is on broadening access to a greater pool of consumers by expanding digital language and purchasing options to meet international needs, while also stepping into new product categories such as new and custom.
