OVERVIEW

We are searching for a qualified and experienced Senior Revenue Accountant to join out team, reporting into the Revenue Accounting Manager. This a crucial role that will assist in overseeing revenue accounting in a fast paced environment. The role provides significant growth opportunity as it encompasses day to day controllership duties as well as involvement on a number of project based initiatives. The candidate should expect to leverage current skill-sets while also focusing on learning quickly and adding value to the current processes.

ABOUT THE JOB

Review and summarize customer contracts for proper revenue recognition in accordance with the Company policy and ASC 606 accounting standards
Contributor in the monthly accounting close, ensuring accurate and timely recording of revenue transactions and the completeness of retailer revenue reporting
Provide input to revenue team transformational projects
Analyze and take ownership implement process improvements
Ensure appropriate application of internal controls.
Work towards becoming a subject matter expert on revenue and ASC 606.
Supports and collaborates with cross functional finance system development teams
Appropriately apply ASC 606 and company revenue recognition policies.

ABOUT YOU

Strong ASC 606 Knowledge
Strong Analytical Tooling Experience (Tableau/Mode/Power BI/Alteryx)
Experience with Jira project management a plus
Proficient with excel and google sheets
Experience with Oracle Cloud Revenue Management, Zuora, RecView, GoTransverse, other type of compatible revenue tool an asset
3-5 years of related accounting experience, public company accounting experience is a plus
Detail-oriented, self-directed and able to effectively complete tasks with minimal supervision
